“I think it should be the Earth.”

My son Ben, 25 years old in 2026, had what I consider to be a very interesting observation when he was 10. He has always looked at the world in a completely unique way, and the day he had this idea was no different from any other. He told me that he noticed that people wore symbols and icons to indicate that they belonged to something. He said, “You know, Mom, that’s really nice, but when people do that, it also tells other people that they don’t belong.”

I thought that was interesting, and I said, “Honey, what are you getting at?”

He said, “I think we should add a symbol—something that we could all belong to—and I think that symbol would be the Earth.”entity.
